Brightview Psychiatry Solutions provides evidence-based psychiatric evaluations and medical opinions designed to support service-connection, secondary claims, rating increases, appeals, and TDIU claims.
Your IME or nexus letter is completed by Jessica Allen, M.D., a physician who personally reviews your records, completes your evaluation, and writes the medical opinion. Each report is designed to clearly explain your diagnoses, functional impairment, and the medical rationale relevant to your VA claim.

Medical opinions to support higher ratings for service-connected PTSD and other mental health conditions.

Compassionate evaluations for PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma cases.

Nexus letters for sleep apnea secondary to PTSD, other mental health conditions, rhinitis, sinusitis, or obesity.

Opinions linking secondary conditions to your service-connected disabilities.

Nexus letters for Total Disability based on Individual Unemployability claims.

Independent opinions to strengthen appeals and previously denied claims.
During your free phone consultation, we will discuss your VA claim, current service-connected conditions, the issue you are trying to support, and whether an IME or nexus letter may be appropriate. This call is used to understand your goals and determine next steps.

An Independent Medical Examination (IME) is an objective assessment of your medical conditions, including what treatment you need, whether you have a permanent impairment and to what degree your condition affects you socially and occupationally. These reports can be used for VA disability claims including:
1) Direct Service Connection
2) Secondary Service Connection
4) Individual Unemployability (TDIU)
5) Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC)

Dr. Allen, a psychiatrist, can evaluate you for all psychiatric conditions including:

Step One
Dr. Allen, will review all of the supporting documentation that you provide including your DD 214, in-service medical and personnel records, and post-service treatment records. All records relevant to your case will be highlighted so they can be referenced in your nexus letter.
Step Two
During your evaluation, a full psychiatric diagnostic examination will be completed to determine your psychiatric diagnosis and it’s connection to your military service or current service-connected condition.
Step Three
After your examination, a nexus letter will be drafted and sent to you. You can then add the nexus letter and IME to your VA claim file.
